Surabaja, Indonesia; and Dammam, Saudi Arabia, <strong>while FLS\u2019 operations in Mackay, Australia will relocate to a larger facility.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Expansions are planned in Parauapebas, Brazil; Karaganda, Kazakhstan; and Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Operations in each of these new locations will begin within the coming months with official opening details to be announced at a later date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, an expansion of the service centre in Chloorkop, South Africa is ongoing and will be completed in 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\" id=\"attachment_324246\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.australianmining.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/1238-FLS4-1024x665.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-324246\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Image: FLSmidth<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOur service centres serve primarily as workshops for improving or repairing customer equipment and can also have warehousing capabilities for distribution,\u201d FLS head of professional services Christian Fabry&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/fls.com\/en\/announcements\/2025\/flsmidth-to-significantly-expand-its-global-service-centre-network-in-2025-further-strengthening-its-service-offerings-and-customer-proximity\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWith these new openings and expansions, we further strengthen our service capabilities and best-in-class service offerings to customers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe can do that by shortening the operational down time for customers thanks to the service centres\u2019 strategic proximity to mine sites and greater availability of spare and wear parts to local customers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">FLS offers a comprehensive range of service offerings that allow mining companies to maximise productivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company has developed the strategic global presence and advanced service-based solutions required to provide responsive support wherever customers are located.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Strong inventory of OEM spare parts and consumables in service centres around the world<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Regional and global field engineers, plus remote asset health and performance optimisation services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mineral laboratory services for fast, accurate mineralogical and metallurgical testing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Upgrades, rebuilds and exchange services to help you get more from your equipment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">FLSmidth work on the ground, and know that in a 24\/7 process every hour of downtime adds up to very high costs in lost productivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That\u2019s why its mining service centres are strategically located to offer local support to its customers operations \u2013 wherever they are in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company has service centres in East (Pinkenba, Beresfield, Mackay, Rockhampton) and the West (Henderson &amp;
