Both companies have committed to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>advancing joint research and development programs for next-generation mining equipment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>establishing robust frameworks for life cycle asset management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>building adaptable, localised support systems to ensure reliable equipment uptime<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>collaborating on the creation of new industry standards and best practices<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>accelerating global initiatives to decarbonise mining operations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis partnership with XCMG reflects BHP\u2019s approach to working closely with strategic suppliers to shape the future of mining technology,\u201d BHP Group procurement officer Rashpal Bhatti&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bhp.com\/news\/articles\/2025\/06\/building-our-supply-chain-resilience-with-xcmg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cBy combining our operational insight with XCMG\u2019s innovation capability, we\u2019re supporting the development of safer, more sustainable fleet solutions. It\u2019s a strong step towards reducing emissions across our operations.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The agreement was signed on June 10 at XCMG\u2019s global headquarters in Xuzhou, China. XCMG said the partnership with BHP will allow both companies to swiftly adapt to evolving global expectations around environmental impact and digital transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAs a global supplier of intelligent and green mine construction solutions, XCMG is proud to be empowering global mine operators,\u201d XCMG chairman Yang Dongsheng&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/xcmg.net.au\/a-new-era-in-green-mining-xcmg-and-bhp-sign-strategic-framework-agreement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOur engineering technology leadership will support the sustainable development of green mines alongside BHP.
